Great uncle

Time-honoured games: Hong Shu Bing comes over regularly to play chess with Dad.

You have to take pieces with a triumphant slamming motion and make a noise like "maheeyyy"

You can just see these two still being a couple in 50 years.

Chinese Chess

At least you can find out the rules to Chinese Chess. On the other hand, Chinese card games are completely inscrutable. People in the village can sit playing all day. Dad did one 6pm-3am marathon and won a total of 300 RMB.

We brought the Wii with us and Jenny started training Dad from day 1.

Dad broke all of the Wii Sports records.

After several hours of Wii I was being all "boring grown up" and had to be nagged to keep on playing by Hong Shu Bing, who complained the other children were not good enough. Note my apathetic playing style.

I gave up, Jenny arrives, energy returns!

Wii boxing. Note lollipop health and safety.

After a couple of days we managed to get Mum on the Wii too.

At this point my internet was still working and catching up on RSS feeds provided several days of entertainment.

Notice that Dad has developed a technique of playing Wii Sports without needing to stand up.

More sitting-Wii prowess.

The best boxing matches are always husband vs wife
